Let's get back to the subject of communication.

Clients often contact us via email, and we respond to emails almost instantly. We are electronically attached to our emails. Even if we are away from our desks, our Blackberries will let us know and we answer those emails. I know that's a concern with the big banks. You try to send an email to your bank loan specialist at 7pm and you will not get a response until the next day, or maybe the day after. Our communication with email is outstanding. The best thing about email is that it keeps a nice record of everything we talked about and communicated about.

When someone approaches your company and goes into a dialog to get a loan, who are they going to be talking to?

They are going to be talking to one of the owners, Fernando or Shane. I am the vice-president, Shane is the president. We have a vested interest in this company that we don't have any complaints with the BBB or California Department of Real Estate, and we take care of clients the way we promised to.

By contrast, with boiler room shops, you may well be talking to a guy who got hired three weeks ago, is learning on the job, and is circulating his resume to other shops, and treats the clients badly.

If you want to have it done right, you talk to the boss, huh?
